
Comprised of a friendly mix of Brethren from various walks of life Metropolitan Lodge highly values and prioritises enjoyment and fellowship when meeting. Regular social events are organised with family and friends encouraged to attend. We raise money for Charity and even have our own Guide Dog for the Blind in training, “Charlie” who is being funded by our endeavours.

London’s At-Risk Youth Served up Hospitality Training at The Clink Training Cafe
The Clink Training Café is the charity’s first dedicated hospitality training facility designed exclusively for young people aged 16–25 who could be at risk of entering the criminal justice system. It is an initiative intended to give students direction and purpose, whilst also strengthening community resilience in South London.

Four years ago, Tamworth Lodge was on the verge of surrendering its warrant. On Friday 6th February, on the exact day marking 96 years since its Consecration, the Lodge met at the Croydon & District Masonic Centre to conduct a double Third Degree ceremony and, in the same meeting, present certificates to seventeen trained Mental Wellbeing Ambassadors. The contrast between then and now speaks to a deliberate and sustained period of renewal.
